Responsibilities would include:
Setting up, filling, and icing round and sheet cakes for our bake shop & special orders in a timely manner ability to set up/ice multi tiered (wedding) cakes and elegantly write on cakes is a huge plus! Ability to precisely follow and scale recipes for desserts, glazes, cakes, icings, etc.
using a digital scale Making a variety of crusts, fillings, and icings for cakes & desserts Decorating large quantities of cookies and cakes freehand as needed Experience using commercial baking mixers, scales, ovens, and other bakery equipment Working well in a fast paced, busy production environment (on your feet, heavy lifting, in and out of walk in freezers & coolers) Flexibility to adapt to different skill sets depending on seasons and production needs At least 1 year experience in a commercial bakery very much preferred but we will train the right person.
This position is very different from home baking and decorating- Serious candidates only, please Shift is Tuesday-Saturday, approximately 6 am-2 pm or later during busy times.
